Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello and this is show #146 for the week of November 22, 2009. Thank you for tuning in once again.
Disney enthusiasts who enjoy the parks and films often look for other ways to continue the experiences as much and as often as possible. They look for ways to continue the stories beyond what they have already seen or heard. In some cases, they are fortunate enough to have the Characters and story lines go beyond the confines of the original, as in the case with what my guests this week have created. They are Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, bestselling authors of the Peter and the Starcatchers series of books, which recount the tales of Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook in the days before the original novel and Disney animated film. I had a chance to sit down with them in Walt Disney World and get a close look inside the collaborative efforts these two creative talents brought together to chronicle the adventures of Peter Pan before he lost his shadow.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I wanted look at how and why you and your family might want to think about spending this traditional holiday in possibly an non-traditional place – Walt Disney World. We'll look at where you can spend your Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends, places to stay, and why now is a great time to visit the resort.
I'll play more of your voicemails at the end of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show.

Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello and this is show #145 for the week of November 15, 2009. Thank you for tuning in once again.
This week’s show looks at a unique Character Connection in Walt Disney World, as the individual in question may have been one found in Disney films, but was also one that started a cultural phenomenon, and was not really a character at all – but an historical American folk hero. Of course, he is Davy Crockett, and he and his trademark coonskin cap were popularized by Disney on TV in the mid-1950’s. He also has many connections to Walt Disney World as well, and this week I’m joined by one of the foremost experts on Davy Crockett and longtime Walt Disney World fan to explore his connections in and around the parks.
Listen for more of your voicemails at the end of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show.

Join me as we journey aboard my Walt Disney World Wayback Machine to a year instead of to a specific attraction. And this week, we're going to set the dials to 1973. We will look at Walt Disney World less than two years after it opened, and visit the Magic Kingdom and many of its now-extinct attractions, take the monorail to the only two resorts on the loop, and look at some things that we thought were on their way, yet never came to be.
I'll have some announcements at the end of show, including a few ways you can help before playing more of your voicemails at the end of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show.

We'll start off this week's show with a look at some Walt Disney World News, but the big news from Disney this week of course is about the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line – the Disney Dream. This week, we'll take a look at the announcement and some of the incredible, innovative details about the ship, as well as its destinations, itineraries, and amazing features.
And what better time than now to announce the details for the WDW Radio Cruise on the Disney Dream in 2011 as we are set to announce our sailing date and additional information.
I'll give you the answers and winner of our last Walt Disney World trivia contest, and update you on upcoming Meets of the Month in Walt Disney World before playing more of your voicemails at the end of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show.

Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host Lou Mongello and this is show #142 for the week of October 25, 2009. Thank you for tuning in once again.
The big news this week from Walt Disney World is the debut of a new show, and a new princess, and Tiana's Showboat Jubilee starts this week in Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom. The live musical production based on The Princess and the Frog starts with a parade processional that leads to a show aboard the Liberty Square riverboat. There, Princess Tiana, the first new Disney Princess since Mulan debuted in 1998 leads a cast in a fun-filled musical show. And rather my describe it to you, this week I uploaded a preview video to the iTunes feed, and the entire show video to WDWRadio.com
And while Walt Disney World Guests are being treated to a new show this week, sometimes we lose some of our favorite attractions, shows, shops and restaurants as new ones are introduced. So this week, we're going to look at the Top Ten Things We Miss at Walt Disney World

Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station. This is show #141 for the week of October 18, 2009. I am your host Lou Mongello, bringing a little bit of Disney magic to you each week in a fun, family-friendly show. Thank you for tuning in once again.
Walt Disney World is filled with some incredible, unique dining experiences, and this week, we visit Mexico's San Angel Inn, where the atmosphere is as wonderful as the cuisine. Modeled after a Mexican hacienda dating back to 1692, the restaurant sits in perpetual twilight on the banks of a river, across from a Mayan pyramid and ruins, and features authentic dishes evocative of traditional Mexican fare. This week, we offer a live review from inside the restaurant as we enjoy some of the Inn's appetizers, main courses, and of course, desserts, as our serve explains every aspect of the meal, and the culture to us along the way. It's a fun segment that I think will not only make you hungry, but will make you want to visit the restaurant and pavilion as well.
This week's show is a little shorter than usual due to my schedule and some other projects I'm working that I'm going to share with you soon, but I'm also releasing a number of new videos as well, including an interview with a true Walt Disney World icon. At Disney's Beach Club Resort, Art Lark, known affectionately to guests from around the world simply as “Art the Greeter,” has been a fixture at the resort for years. And on one of his final days at the resort before retirement, I had a chance to talk with Art about his experiences, and what this role, and the Guests, have meant to him. I'll also have more videos from Disney's D23Expo, and a few other surprises as well, so stay tuned
I'll announce a new trivia contest, and give some additional information about upcoming events before playing more of your voicemails at the end of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show.
