"Three bears" is the most popular kids song in Korea. This short video clip is from a Korean soap opera, "Full-house" in 2004, which was originally a cartoon. The actor (Young-Jae), his name is rain (in Korean, 비). He is also a singer and really famous in Korea. The actress (Ji-Eun), her name is Song Hye-Kyo. She was really cute on this show. In this clip she dances and sings this song to Young-Jae's grandmother, but they feel awkward. Korean Script 영재: 조심해야 돼. 영재: 그다음에 우리 아부지. 영재: 무조건 대화가 안통하는 사람이야. 영재: 다른 사람 말은 들을 필요 없이, 영재: 무조건 자기만 옳다고 생각하는 사람이니까, 영재: 길게 대화할 필요는 없어. 지은: 난 아버지는 안무섭든데.. 지은: 할머니가 더 무섭지. 지은: 어 영재씨 반지 어떻게 했어요? 지은: 어 반지 반지 잊어버릴뻔 했잖아! 할머니: 다 늦게 니가 왠일이냐? 할머니: 전화라도 하 지은: 노래선물 준비했습니다. Young-Jae: He thinks he doesn't need to listen to (understand) other people. Young-Jae: He believes he is always right. Young-Jae: You don't need to talk to him long. Ji-Eun: I'm not afraid of him. Ji-Eun: I'm rather afraid of grandmother. Ji-Eun: Oh Young-Jae, Where is your ring? Ji-Eun: Oh, ring, ring, You have almost forgotten! Grandmother: What happened to you this late time? Grandmother: Why didn't you call me up. Ji-Eun: I've got a song for you. How to read Korean (Hangul) Part: 1, vowels

In this episode and following one or two, we will learn how to read Korean characters, Hangul. The lecture about reading will be divided into two or three parts. The first one is about vowels. Simple vowels and Dipthongs. There is a small mistake in this podcast and I found it after the movie file encoding was finished. I want to acknowledge that dipthongs in Hangul always consist of two simple vowels. If there is further mistakes, please let me know. Thank you for your listening and keep practicing.
