Genre: Indie / Psychedelic / Experimental
Country: UK
WWW.23SECONDS.ORG Download Zip-file (art + music) 23 Seconds proudly presents a new artist on the label: KESHCO from London and Oxford, UK. The band was formed in the mid-90´s and have a number of cassettes and CD-releases in their back catalogue. Keshco play a home recorded mix of indie/electronic/folk/acoustic pop that is full of funny fresh ideas and small enjoyable outbursts. There are offbeat love songs, wry social commentary, and psychedelic whimsy. Shimmery synthpop and spiky folk.
Their current line-up is Andrew Brain, Robert Follen and Luke Sample. All three are adept at guitars and keyboards, while Andrew and Robert handle most vocal duties. Robert also plays drums, Andrew does programming using freeware PC programs, and Luke plays flute and mandolin.
Ladies and gentlemen: Keshco!

There is something so refreshing about the self titled "Anna Bradley" single, which is funny as when listening to it, it resonates bands of yesteryear. The story behind the single, and expansion on his previous release, is the inclusion of a rhythm section right before Kipling left for Berkeley, and this addition certainly makes Kipling's previous lo-fi sound really explode into a new and exciting phase. The opening section of the self titled track definitely sounds like it could have been penned (and sung) by The Field Mice, before drifting into a swirling indierock love(less) anthem. The B-side, "Clotheshorse" is an honest, catchy little number with the only complaint being that at 2:11 it is criminally short for such a fantastic track. I think that is just another exciting element to Anna Bradley though, the fact that Kipling can produce a great song, finish it, and then move onto another. As he enters a new period in his life, I am sure many will be excited to hear what comes next. Download full release Play a sample track Rack & Ruin records
